Ok, so it’s not just all about the scenery. It’s about a change of lifestyle, breaking bad habits, getting out of the public sector, trying something new and exciting. It’s symbolic, it’s a milestone, it’s a full-life refresh and a shaking of the snowdome. It’s about life, career, purpose, relationships, new connections, discovery, self-reflection and growth. So many things, so many reasons.

  1. Hey mate – great stuff, and really pleased for you. I did the same in late 2009; trading in APS security, friends and fam, the known and comfortable for something completely unknown in regional Oz. Haven’t looked back – finally getting ahead finance-wise, career-wise, self-wise. My very best with the move – will be tough at first but totally worth it.
